Laura & Eric Montross

Eric and Laura Montross, honorary hosts of this year's Run for the Promise Gala, benefiting N.C. Children's Hospital.

Eric and Laura Montross invite you to attend the 2012 Run for the Promise Gala, benefiting N.C. Children’s Hospital. As an undergrad, Eric met Jason Clark, a remarkable young man battling cancer at UNC. With plans for a new children’s hospital underway, Jason envisioned a kid-friendly place with resources for young patients.

Jason sadly didn’t live to see the new children’s hospital, but his legacy lives on in the form of Eric and Laura’s passion for N.C. Children’s Hospital and their annual Eric Montross Father’s Day Basketball Camp, which has raised more than $900,000 for the hospital since its inception in 1995. In Jason’s memory, our Gala “Fund the Fun” project will support renovation of the Jason Clark Teen Lounge, a teens-only respite on the Children’s Hospital's 7th floor.
